How you know, medical expenses in USA, are so high. There are couple of things, you can do, to reduce it. One of that, is negotiate your bill with hospital, where you been hospitalized. You just call and ask for some discount. In our hospital they offer discount 20%, in others could be more. This applies on ER as well.

Also, you can transfer prescription to other pharmacy (Walgreen, Rite Aid), and you will get $25 gift card. There are coupons in newspapers or on there website for transfer.
